Training Program for Early Detection of Cancer
Childhood cancer can be cured if detected in time!
According to the data of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine the incidence of childhood cancer in this country is not highest in the world but the death rate exceeds the world average indicators.
One of the main reasons is late detection and low quality of early diagnosis. In most cases, children are hospitalized in the late stages of the disease when it is very difficult to treat the disease. If at the first stage surgery is enough, at the second and at the third stages chemotherapy and radiotherapy are used obligatory (these methods of treatment are extremely expensive).
Unfortunately, the majority of the citizens of Ukraine believe that children cannot have cancer. This is a regrettable result of the information vacuum regarding the issues of pediatric oncology.
The majority of projects implemented by NGOs are not aimed at solving the problem of early cancer detection but at overcoming the consequences of a late diagnosis. That’s why Zaporuka Foundation started the project “Let’s Anticipate the Trouble” the goal of which is to inform about the successful treatment of tumors thanks to early detection. We inform primary care physicians and parents about the main symptoms of childhood cancer symptoms, explain where to apply if needed. Also, we do our best to draw attention of the public to the field of pediatric oncology.

The audit of financial statements was successfully completed for the fourth time. We received a positive conclusion from the audit and consulting group CompassGroup Audit Company.
