At the beginning of the war, together with our partners, just in a few days we managed to take the ward children with their families to peaceful countries and provide them with a normal life and treatment. Currently, 100 families are under our patronage in Italian clinics.
We continue to provide them not only psychological, but also online rehabilitation support. If remote psychological assistance is familiar to everyone, then physical rehabilitation at a distance is not. But we tried and we succeeded!
This format is no less effective than offline. In particular, because relatives are actively involved in the process. Appropriate teamwork produces good results. And we have an idea how to share the successes of our wards in order to inspire others.
Despite the fact that treatment and accommodation in Europe are free for our wards, they need regular financial assistance for daily expenses: transportation, clothes, additional food, things necessary for the child's education, etc. The foundation supports families financially on a monthly basis.
Understanding also the difficulties with communication in a foreign country when not knowing the language, we organize courses for children and their parents to learn Italian. And for better adaptation, we arrange excursions around the city and the country.
We keep being there for the families. Against all odds.
