The Zaporuka Foundation, with the financial support of GlobalGiving, has renovated and equipped a space for teenagers at the Regional Medical Center of Family Health in Dnipro.

For the Zaporuka Foundation, it is important that spaces appear alongside medical care where people can recover not only physically, but also emotionally.

Thanks to financial support GlobalGiving We renovated and equipped a space for teenagers in Regional Medical Center for Family Health in the amount of 800,000 hryvnias. Now it has a place for communication, a sense of security, and peer support.

У Regional Medical Center for Family Health every day they help patients from the frontline regions of Ukraine. Last year alone, [number] underwent rehabilitation here over 1200 children and adults, and the need for support continues to grow.

«This teen space is a vital, integral component of our comprehensive mental, psychological, and rehabilitation recovery system. We are convinced that treatment and rehabilitation cannot be limited to a clinical approach alone—the environment and psychological support are crucial. It hosts group therapies, specialized training sessions, individual psychological sessions, and activities to stabilize the emotional state of teenagers. When patients feel safe, have peer support, and do not feel the pressure of the hospital environment, stress levels decrease. This directly affects the speed and comfort of recovery, says CEO Oleksiy Vlasov.
