Every child overcoming a serious illness and their family need psychological support—regardless of where the family lives. At the same time, the conditions in which pediatric clinical psychologists work in Ukraine often vary. In frontline regions, challenges related to the war are added to their daily work.
Over the course of three days, the participants analyzed clinical cases, discussed the communication of complex diagnoses and psychological support for families, visited specialized hospital departments, and sought solutions for situations they encounter in their daily work.
And the training did not end after three days in Lviv. The participants continue to work together: they analyze clinical cases, undergo supervision, and implement new approaches in their practice.
After all, professional development is not just about new knowledge. It is also an opportunity to discuss complex cases with colleagues, receive support, and jointly look for solutions to the challenges that specialists face.
Thank you to all participants for your openness, trust, and desire to develop psychological support for children in Ukraine.
The training was organized by the Zaporuka Charitable Foundation with the financial support Soleterre.
