Zaporuka Foundation primarily helps patients of the departments in which we operate, namely, pediatric departments of the National Cancer Institute, the Institute of Neurosurgery, and the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center.
We provide individual assistance purchasing medicines or medical supplies, including endoprostheses that are not available at the hospital; we help raise funds for treatment abroad if the Ukrainian specialist officially recommend it; we organize and pay for mIBG scan which is not performed in Ukraine. Our specialists provide psychological assistance to children and their family members. Children who are prescribed with post-operative physical rehabilitation receive sessions from our physiotherapist at the Cancer Institute. We also organize entertainment activities and make children’s dreams come true.
Zaporuka representatives regularly visit the abovementioned hospitals and keep in touch with doctors to get all the necessary information about patients who need support.
