Tools for prolonging life
The children's department of the National Cancer Institute spends about 200 operations per year. The lives of children are saved by talented Ukrainian doctors, true professionals in their field. However, the effectiveness of their skills during surgeries depends, among other things, on the tools that help ensure the accuracy and speed of operations.
The doctors have selected the most suitable type of scissor clamps that allow surgeons to quickly and accurately fix and hold tissue during operations. Surgery with such scissors generally helps to reduce the time required for procedures. The use of scissor clamps also helps to avoid excessive trauma to tissues and organs during surgery, as it provides accurate and reliable grip and hold. All of this directly affects the outcome of the surgery and the subsequent recovery of young cancer patients.
At present, the National Cancer Institute is not able to purchase the instruments on its own, but the operating room for children must always be staffed to provide proper care to children in a timely manner.
We, as a foundation, have been supporting the NIR Children's Oncology Department for 15 years, so we cannot ignore their request. Dear friends, please support our doctors so that they can continue to treat Ukrainian children at home.
The cost of operational tools is 60 thousand hryvnias. Let us remember that there are no small donations - any amount will help to close the collection as soon as possible and purchase the necessary tools.
