Let's support Bohdan today!
Bohdan was born a healthy boy. Until he was 4.5 years old, he grew up active and cheerful, went to kindergarten, and was no different from his peers. But in February 2017, the family's life changed dramatically—the boy developed severe headaches, gait disturbances, and a drooping eyelid. Later, a brainstem tumor was diagnosed.
Next came complex surgeries, the installation of a shunt system, and prolonged treatment. The illness left a severe neurological condition, and for almost nine years now, the family has been fighting daily for the quality of their son's life.
Today, Bohdan is a 5th-grade student under foster care. He has adapted to his condition and learned to do everything with his left hand. He always looks forward to the teachers who visit him at home, loves drawing funny characters, playing dominoes, and has a subtle sense of humor and amazing resourcefulness. Despite being completely dependent on outside help, Bohdan has a strong desire for independence, and that is incredibly inspiring.
At Christmas, the boy's condition sharply worsened again: he developed a severe headache, and the shunt system stopped functioning. The family urgently went to the Institute of Neurosurgery, where doctors performed emergency surgeries.
Now the family needs help to pay for the shunt and drainage system.
The fundraising goal is 75,000 UAH.
Bogdan's father is defending our country, and his mother constantly cares for a disabled child. It is extremely difficult for the family to cope with such a financial burden on their own.
Friends, join the fundraiser! Together we can support this family.
