Creating a renovated space for young patients of the National Cancer Institute

The Zaporuka Charitable Foundation is renovating the pediatric oncology department so that children can have a cozy space where they do not lose the joy of childhood despite their illness. Join us in creating comfort in hospitals! UPD: We thank everyone who contributed to the 2nd stage of the department's renovation. The unit has more opportunities for physical therapy sessions and restoration of motor functions. The inclusive rehabilitation space was created with the support of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. International and Ukrainian partners joined the renovation: Soleterre, Raiffeisen Bank, AGROMAT, Hansgrohe Ukraine. The total amount that Zaporuka Foundation has already allocated for the reconstruction is more than UAH 7.5 million, including the funds raised for the renovation of the 2nd stage.

We will give children an updated modern space

Since 2008, the Zaporuka Charitable Foundation has been supporting young patients of the National Cancer Institute. We make sure that every child receives proper treatment, psychological support and rehabilitation assistance. In 2024, we strengthened our support for patients and launched a large-scale renovation of the Pediatric Oncology Department.

Thanks to the support of our partners, we completed the first stage and have already repaired it:

  • 4 modern wards
  • 4 inclusive bathrooms
  • 1 game room
  • 25% of the large-scale upgrade work has already been completed.

On St. Nicholas Day, the children received a new comfortable space with a bright playroom, where every detail was created with love and respect for children.

Support the project to upgrade the pediatric oncology department so that every child, regardless of their needs, feels comfortable and cared for during their stay in the hospital.

The second stage of the space renovation has already begun - join us!

Together we can improve conditions and implement systemic changes that will have a lasting impact.
We have started the second phase of the upgrade, during which we will create a new website:

  • 3 modern wards for children and their families;
  • 2 inclusive bathrooms for children with different needs;
  • 1 psychologist's office for working with children and families;
  • a hall with a library is a place to relax;
  • a post for nurses for effective care;
  • manipulation room for procedures

The budget for the second stage of the renovation is UAH 3 million. Each donation brings us closer to the amount raised, which will allow us to continue to renovate the space for the young patients of the National Cancer Institute.

We are grateful to everyone who contributed to the 2nd stage of the department's renovation. The department has more opportunities for physical therapy sessions and restoration of motor functions. The inclusive rehabilitation space was created with the support of Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. International and Ukrainian partners joined the update: Soleterre, Raiffeisen Bank, AGROMAT, Hansgrohe Ukraine.
