Construction of the family house "Dacha"

"Dacha is a home away from home. It is the only family home in Ukraine for families with seriously ill children, where they can live together for free during treatment. Being there is not just support. It is a part of recovery.

The Zaporuka Foundation created the first Dacha back in 2009. Over the years, more than 1300 children from all over Ukraine have found a temporary home here. Together with their families, they underwent serious treatment in an atmosphere of comfort, care and support.

Today we are building a new Dacha - independent, spacious, modern. It will be our own home, built to meet the needs of every family going through the ordeal of illness. We have been dreaming about it for many years and we are already at the finish line.

The opening was planned for June 2022, but the full-scale war forced us to change our plans. But despite everything, we continue to build. Because we know that this place is very much needed.

The goal of Dacha is to give families the opportunity to be together in the most difficult period. Treatment often lasts for months, sometimes years. And during this time, it is very important to maintain closeness, communication and normal life as much as possible.

Prolonged separation, emotional exhaustion, and domestic difficulties test families' strength. And when you have loved ones by your side, peace, quiet and support, you gain more strength, hope, and the internal resource to fight the disease is restored.

Нова «Дача» зможе прийняти до 14 родин одночасно. У будинку передбачено 14 окремих сімейних кімнат, простори для відпочинку, дві ігрові зали, спеціальні кімнати для дітей на кріслах колісних, а також кабінети фізичного терапевта, психолога і навіть кімнату зі звукоізоляцією для дітей з особливими потребами.

"Dacha is not just a roof over your head. It is a place where families stay together. And together means stronger.
