Psychological support for medical workers during the pandemic
Psychological support for health workers during a pandemic is not an additional option, but an urgent need.
Doctors face burnout at work, because they care about the seriously ill and take every patient’s story to heart. Emotional and physical exhaustion is the result of prolonged work, which is aggravated by the coronavirus and the uncertainty added by the new disease.
Together with the NGO Network Of 100 Percent Life Rivne we are implementing a project to provide psychological support to health workers to prevent negative impact on the condition of doctors in time.
Our psychologists working in the departments of the Cancer Institute and the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center will be able to share experiences with the Italian colleagues who worked in the most acute phase of the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy. We thank our partners Fondazione Soleterre ONLUS for this opportunity.
The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union, a representative office in Ukraine.
