The European company Recordati Rare Diseases set itself the goal of providing effective treatment for people with rare diseases back in the early 90s. "Every patient has the right to decent treatment," they proclaimed their main principle at the time.
Since then, the company's arsenal has included dozens of super-powerful unique drugs, among which "Cosmegen" is a drug that has no analogues in its effect. Available alternative treatment regimens are more toxic and significantly less effective.
"Zaporuka" purchased 50 bottles of the valuable drug and handed it over to the children's department of the National Cancer Institute.
"The presence of dactinomycin (the basic substance of "Cosmegen") in Ukraine will allow to carry out highly effective anti-cancer therapy, which is used by leading children's oncology centers in the world. A big thanks to the foundation for this," says Hryhoriy Klymniuk, head of the children's department of the NCI.
