Charity bike ride “We Ride a Biсycle, So That They Could Live” with Arsen Mirzoyan is an event that for the fifth year in a row unites Lviv residents and visitors in their effort to help children of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center.
Over the previous four years, more than half a million UAH were raised, which helped to pay for the renovation of 6 wards of the Department of Hematology and Intensive Chemotherapy of the Western
Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center. The total amount of repairs amounted to UAH 1,500,000 – and the Zaporuka Foundation raised additional funds at other charitable events.
This year, UAH 300,000 collected from participation fees will be used to overhaul the functional diagnostics room of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children Medical Center in Lviv. This room is
designed to examine children with cancer who have undergone changes in the work of the cardiovascular and/or respiratory systems due to cancer.
On August 7 this year, more than 250 cyclists raised 153,000 UAH, and the Lviv City Council added another 300,000 – all for young Lviv residents currently undergoing treatment. The city administration together with Andrii Sadovyi join the initiative every year, and this time they have even participated in the ride directly.
We are grateful to each participant who joined the ride on their bikes for a good cause, as well as constant partners who are with us every year. See you again in 2022!
