Equipment worth UAH 2.3 million was handed over to the National Cancer Institute!
We are talking about a centrifuge that is used to prepare a patient for a bone marrow transplant. Now this extremely complex operation will take place at a radically different level of quality and safety.
Thanks to the centrifuge, the presence of plasma in the selected material (stem cells) is minimized and the need for an additional preservative, which is toxic, is eliminated. But without it, it would be impossible to store the selected material. Now everything will change.
After centrifugation, the material will be stored in a special low-temperature refrigerator until it is replaced by a special cryo-storage, the microclimate of which is controlled by automatic sensors. We also bought it. On the way... We'll install it and report right away.
The centrifuge was purchased and installed at NCI not by chance. Since 2004, 334 (!) transplants have been performed in the children's department of the institute. So they are professionals who, thanks to the new equipment, will significantly increase their capabilities. Will use it 100%!
The equipment was purchased with donations from Ukrainians who donate every day to support charitable projects of our foundation. Together with you, we don't just keep the country, we change it.
We will be grateful for the support of seriously ill children during the war here at this link.
