Thanks to the support of our partners Fondazione Soleterre Onlus and Fondazione Intesa Sanpaolo Onlus, we purchased 100 vials of the anticancer antibiotic Cosmegen for the departments of the National Cancer Institute and the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center in Lviv.
Cosmegen is an antibiotic used in combination chemotherapy and/or multimodal treatment, prescribed for diseases such as Wilms’ tumors, pediatric rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewing’s sarcoma and metastatic breast cancer.
This drug is included into in the state procurement program. Unfortunately, this year, due to some problems during the procedure of its re-authorization in Ukraine, the drug has not been delivered to the hospitals. That’s why we purchased a supply of the drug for a few months so that all children were provided with life-saving medication on time.
We are grateful to our permanent partners for supporting our beneficiaries in the Ukrainian hospitals!
