This little charming sunshine, Elinka, has successfully undergone an autologous bone marrow stem cell transplant at the Pediatric Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant Clinic at the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center. She is the clinic's youngest patient.
And for this, her family did not need to travel abroad, spending precious time and a lot of money on the treatment of a high-risk malignant tumor.
Everything was done at the highest level by highly skilled Ukrainian specialists at home in Lviv, where the girl's family from Kharkiv moved at the beginning of the war, fleeing from the "rescuers" from Russia.
Nowadays, any city in Ukraine is home for every Ukrainian, no matter where they come from, isn't it? The war has come at a terrible price, but it has proved this point for sure.
We are happy that this project of Zaporuka and its partners Fondazione Rosa Pristina, Soleterre Onlus, which was launched in the first days of the war, is still fully operational. Despite the shelling and blackouts, our medics continue to perform miracles. Roman Kizyma, we are delighted with you and your colleagues. We congratulate you and hug you.
50 children with cancer from different parts of Ukraine continue treatment at the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center.
