Danylo is very sociable. He easily finds common ground with other children and loves being in company. But because of his treatment, he cannot go to kindergarten, so every opportunity to play, chat, or simply be near his peers is especially valuable to him.
When Danylo was only one year and nine months old, he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Ahead of him were ten months of treatment, and after them, two years of remission. It seemed the hardest part was already behind. But at the beginning of this year, the illness returned.
Today, Danylo is undergoing an examination of all systems and organs. Immunotherapy lies ahead, and later, probably, a bone marrow transplantation.
The greatest support for the family remains relatives – grandmothers, grandfathers, brothers, a sister, and a godmother.
And «Dacha» became a temporary home for Danylo. It is here, after days in the hospital, that he can be a child again: meet other kids, play, draw, laugh, and forget about the hospital walls for at least a while.
«Dacha» for us is a home where our child feels very good during his treatment. Here he develops and communicates with other children. We are very glad that we got here,» Danylo's mother shares.
While the boy dreams of a multicolored unicorn, we dream that every family coming for treatment far from home has a place where they can feel warmth and care.
