Hollywood actor Liev Schreiber visited the Dacha family home run by the Zaporuka Foundation and met with children undergoing treatment

Recently, during another visit to Ukraine, the American actor, director, and co-founder BlueCheck Ukraine Liev Schreiber visited family house "Dacha" in Kyiv, where families with children undergoing long-term treatment for cancer live.

The visit became special for the team of the Zaporuka charitable foundation, because BlueCheck Ukraine has been supporting the foundation's activities since 2022. During this time, we managed to implement a number of joint and important initiatives to support hospitals, children, and families undergoing complex treatment.

«It was very important to us that after years of support, Liev finally saw our «Dacha» in person—met the families, saw how our home lives, and why it is so important,» Zaporuka shares.«

During the meeting, the actor chatted with the children and joined them in a creative workshop. Denys, one of the young residents of «Dacha,» sang for the star guest, and Liev accompanied him with a beat. 

The cooperation between «Zaporuka» and BlueCheck Ukraine began in 2022. For BlueCheck, it is important to support local organizations that work directly with people and know their needs well.

Last year, with the support of the organization, assistance was received by the «Dacha» family homes in Kyiv and Lviv. This year, partner support made it possible to purchase an injector for the Regional Medical Center of Family Health in Dnipro. Even earlier, thanks to BlueCheck Ukraine, the necessary equipment for the operating room and the oncology department appeared in St. Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv.
