The #mombyMom campaign raised more than UAH 100,000 for the construction of a new Dacha

On the occasion of Mother's Day Zaporuka Foundation together with Ukrainian Philanthropic Marketplace held a charity event for the second time #mom next door. The goal of the flash mob is not only to congratulate mothers on the holiday, but also to raise funds for the construction of the of the new Dacha Center for children with cancer.

How did the campaign go?

🗓 April 25 - May 10:

• hundreds of Ukrainians posted sincere stories about their mothers on social media with the hashtag #mom next door;

• share information about fundraising among friends;

• did charitable contributions from UAH 100.

Gifts were drawn among the participants - from sets to gold pendant with diamonds.

A result that inspires

Over 100,000 UAH was raised for the construction of a new Dacha, a home for 15 families undergoing treatment at the National Cancer Institute.

Why is it important?

The Dacha project already exists 10 years and is designed to mom was always there for me. Today Dacha is a rented house for 6 families, but it needs help at least 15 families daily.

The new center is:

• safe, sterile environment for children after chemotherapy;

• space for rehabilitation, support and recreation;

• a home that heals.

The campaign is over - the mission continues

The #mom by my side flash mob was just the beginning. The construction continues - and everyone can contribute to the future of children who are not fighting cancer alone, but with their mothers by their side.
