Ukraine begins preparations for Giving Tuesday

Every year, on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving, the world unites for good causes. World Giving Day #GivingTuesday was founded by American Asha Curran, who saw how much money is spent on Black Friday and decided that it would be better to spend it on helping others.

In Ukraine, for the third year in a row, we have been joining this initiative together with Zagoriy Foundationto make goodness loud and familiar to everyone.

What is planned for Giving Tuesday 2020?

Date of the event: December 1
Participation of schools: over 400 schools plan to join
Objective: raise funds to support children living in the Dacha Center

Main activities:

• #LessonsTricks - interactive lessons on charity for students

• Charity fairs, concerts, performances

• Online workshops, flash mobs and contests

• Meetings with stars and influencers for charitable contributions

Results of previous years

• 300+ schools joined the campaign

• UAH 1,000,000 raised to help children with cancer

This year we want to do even more - to make every good deed a habit.
