This year, many of our winners entered first grade. We remember them as tiny children, smiling at us every morning at Dacha. We raised funds across the country so that they could live. And today these children are independent, strong and ready for new achievements.
They packed their own backpacks, put on festive clothes, and perhaps even rushed their parents to be on time for their first school holiday.
In a flash mob #firstfirst We have collected the names of our heroes:
Eva, Evelina, Alisa, two Maxims, Karolina, Zhenya, Timothy, Svyatoslav. Their stories are proof that Life after cancer is not just possible - it is beautiful.
Stories of the winners
Eva: 2.5 years at Dacha
Eva lived at Dacha for the longest time in the project's history. The girl lost her sight due to illness, but she remembers exactly who is around her.
"Let's go to the living room, I'll tell you a rhyme, like on a ruler!"
So Eva, holding the hand of the coordinator Lyudmila, leads the guests into the hall, preparing for the celebration. A few days later, a smiling Eva with a huge bouquet in her hands will decorate the photo from the "lineup".
Tymofiy: from diagnosis to the soccer field
A few years ago, we all prayed that Timofey would survive. A brain tumor, complicated treatment, side effects... But today he is absolutely healthy, plays football and basketballHe dreams of winning competitions.
Alice: with a smile in spite of everything
In 2017, Alisa was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Her father supported his daughter as much as he could - he cooked goodies for her and other children at Dacha. Today, Alisa is a bright girl with long blond hair. And she still smiles as sincerely in the photo as she did in the days when volunteers came with gifts.
The first teacher. The first holiday. The first victory is long overdue
These children have already overcome the worst. And today they are starting a new chapter in their lives knowing the value of every moment, every day without pain.
