The intensive care unit of the Kyiv City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1 received from us a Mindray M6 portable ultrasound machine for accurate diagnostics near the patient's bedside, as well as a UMT 200 mobile trolley. From now on, if necessary, the device will come to the child's ward or operating room.
The total amount of the transferred equipment amounted to UAH 1,061,741.
Kyiv City Children's Hospital No. 1 is a multidisciplinary hospital that outperforms other children's healthcare facilities in the capital by the number of cases. Over the past 6 months alone, 5,000 young patients have been treated here. 10% of them are children of internally displaced persons. The institution serves extremely difficult children.
The new device, which resembles a conventional computer, is able to detect the smallest changes in the human body. The signal processing speed is 8 times faster, which allows for good image quality in 3D. This is extremely important for a quick and accurate diagnosis, as it affects the effectiveness of treatment and life in general.
Mindray M6 is a "universal soldier". Its research package includes absolutely all areas: from pediatrics to cardiology. So, as the hospital's doctors commented, "the hospital has received a real treasure."
The assistance was provided within the framework of RELIEF-support, a large-scale humanitarian aid project of the Zaporuka Charitable Foundation in partnership with Soleterre Onlus, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo. The goal is to systematically strengthen the communities of Kyiv, Poltava and Cherkasy regions.
