Monthly about 600 young patients is admitted to the admission department of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center in Lviv for inpatient treatment, and approximately 500 receives outpatient consultations.
Last year, we set out to renovate our wards so that children and their families would feel comfortable and cozy when they come to the hospital. Each of us has probably had experience of going to medical facilities. Such moments are difficult and stressful for both young patients and their families. Gradually, with your help and the support of our partners, we have successfully completed the first stage of a large-scale reconstructionThe hospital has equipped two modern isolation wards, a ward for short-term stay of new patients, a nursing station, rooms for proper storage of equipment and supplies, as well as bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities.
The second stage of reconstruction is underway and we are about to complete it, but we need your support and reinforcement. Thanks to the funds raised, we will finalize the work we have started as soon as possible, namely
1. reconstruction of the entrance to provide unimpeded access for patients in wheelchairs, gurneys accompanied by life support devices;
2. reconstruction of the premises for receiving patients: anthropometry, sanitary treatment and medical documentation
3. reconstruction of some bathrooms;
4. a room for medical staff to rest.
Join the gathering on the platform Dobro.uato support the creation of a special place for the young patients of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center. Together with you, we will create a place where children can forget about fear and pain, and parents can gain additional confidence that their children are receiving the best possible care.
