During the charity bike ride "I Pedal to Keep Them Alive" with Arsen Mirzoyan, UAH 1.8 million was raised to support children
Today, on June 1, the Zaporuka Foundation, together with Arsen Mirzoyan, held VIII charity bike ride "I Pedal to Keep Them Alive", during which they collected UAH 1.8 million. The funds raised will be used to support the young patients of the Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine in Lviv, namely, to equip the intensive care unit with stations for emergency anesthesia. The presence of such stations in the intensive care unit allows the medical team to act in a coordinated manner, promptly, without wasting time, ensuring stability and safety for young patients in critical situations.
"This is the eighth charity bike ride we have organized together with Arsen Mirzoyan and partners. For our team and participants, it is a great celebration of goodness. Traditionally, during the bike ride, we raise funds to support children who are overcoming cancer. Today's event was joined by former patients whom we have already supported and who overcame childhood cancer. They are a real example and a source of hope for those children who are going through a similar path of fighting the disease. We thank everyone who joins the event to support children - participants, volunteers and partners who have contributed to the future recovery of young patients", - says the founder and president of the Zaporuka Foundation Natalia Onipko.
This year's bike ride brought together more than 300 participants and volunteers. It is symbolic that the event took place on June 1, the World Cancer Day. This day is celebrated around the world on the first Sunday of June to honor the difficult experience of people and show their support.
"Help that saves lives - that's how we describe the support we have been receiving from the Zaporuka Foundation for many years. This is not just charity - it is a partnership that changes the lives of our little patients every day. Thanks to the funds raised during this year's bike ride, we will equip the intensive care unit with anesthesia and emergency stations that literally give a chance for life at critical moments. We are sincerely grateful to the Lviv City Council for their active participation and financial support. And we bow to everyone who contributed to the collection. You are a part of a big team of good, and together we make the incredible possible", - thanked the Acting Director General of the Center Roman Kizima.
VIII charity bike ride "Pedaling to keep them alive" was supported by the Lviv City Council. The partners of this year's bike ride were: Raiffeisen Bank, Glovo, Yabko, Hansgrohe Ukraine, Podorozhnyk pharmacy chain, Kava Staryi Lviv, and Mondero. Together with the participants and partners, the Zaporuka Foundation raised over UAH 900 thousand. The city of Lviv has doubled this amount, so UAH 1.8 million will be allocated for the treatment of the Clinical Center for Pediatric Medicine's young patients.
