The Foundation's official statement on the incident at the Dacha construction site

On the night of March 28-29, at 23:30, at the construction site Dacha Center for Children with Cancer occurred fire at the front door. The fire was noticed in time by a security guard and construction workers who were on duty at the site. They independently eliminated the fire within half an hourAfter that, fire, police and ambulances arrived at the scene.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Cause of the fire: probable arson

President of the Foundation Natalia Onipko applied to the Solomyansky Police Department, the fire service inspector provided an official report on the alleged arson. We are awaiting the results of the investigation and hope that those responsible will be found and brought to justice.

Assessment of losses

It is currently damaged:

• foundation,

• part of the facade,

• the front door,

• two windows.

The preliminary amount of losses is over UAH 200,000.

"We will rebuild everything": the foundation does not stop

Despite this incident, the opening of the Dacha Center will take place on time - this year the house will host 13 families of children with cancer.

"We refuse to accept a world where only healthy and beautiful children deserve to live. We will fight for an inclusive society where there is a place for everyone," the team of the Zaporuka Foundation.
