A new cytocentrifuge has been installed at the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center in Lviv

У Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center In Lviv, it was established a new cytocentrifuge for the oncohematology department. The equipment cost UAH 462,000The funds were raised thanks to caring donors.

Why is this equipment important?

The cytocentrifuge helps:

• Define disease stage

• Evaluate treatment effectiveness

• Identify residual tumor cells

Every year the department trains about 400 samples of biological fluidseach of which can affect a child's life.

 Advantages of the new cytocentrifuge:

• Sample processing by 23 programs

• 100% cells transferred to the fixative without drying

• Possibility of additional tests without re-abstraction

• The doctors have already undergone a special user training
