A psychological support room has been opened in the Hematology Department of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center

In 2020, in the hematology department Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center in Lviv started a new psychological assistance officeopened by the fund "Zaporuka".

More than just an office

This is not just a formal room, but an atmosphere of care and supportcreated by children, doctors and artists.

A new space:

• Equipped with furniture, materials for creativity, paints

• It has an author's artistic design

• Designed to work with children, parents, and healthcare professionals

• Promotes emotional relief and support

 Why is it important?

The office has become part of the psychological service of the Zaporuka Foundationwhich has been supporting children with cancer throughout Ukraine for over 10 years.

Over the past year:

• Conducted 1200+ consultations

• The assistance was provided to 230 children

• Support was provided by 300 parents

Psychological assistance - This is not a luxury, but a vital necessity in the fight against the disease.
