More than 150 rehabilitation sessions received by 18 wards of the foundation in the 3rd quarter of 2021

The team of rehabilitation therapists of the Zaporuka Foundation are specialists who always have an individual approach to each patient. They work closely with doctors to determine the child's readiness to resume movement.

Even when it is morally difficult for children to muster the strength to study, the Foundation's specialists know how to find an approach and motivate everyone to achieve a positive result.

Rehabilitation in numbers

As of the 3rd quarter of 2021, the rehabilitation specialists of the Zaporuka Foundation have conducted:

• 157 classes

• for 18 wards

Thanks to regular sessions and the support of specialists, the children took the first steps towards recovery: they developed their knee joints and regained their faith in life after the hospital.

An inspiring example is the story of Oleksandr

Oleksandr was admitted to the National Cancer Institute after his injury in September 2020. After his December surgery, the rehabilitation team immediately started working with him. The problem was stiffness in the knee joint and a limitation of the bending angle to 50 degrees.

Thanks to a comprehensive program:

• already in February The guy started walking on his own without crutches,

• the bending angle increased to 95 degrees,

• з April worked on weight training machines,

• з June - He trained independently and confidently walked with crutches without limping.

Oleksandr continues his recovery with maximum load and is already working on his form on his own.
