

On March 28, Kyiv hosted a II All-Ukrainian Conference "Rehabilitation in Pediatrics"which brings together doctors of physical and rehabilitation medicine, physical therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and other specialists.
The main topic of the conference was the challenges faced by the system of children's rehabilitation in the context of war. Participants discussed the challenges of rehabilitating children in war, modern methods of rehabilitation and adaptation of international standards to Ukrainian realities.
Zaporuka Foundation presented the results of the project "Strengthening the capacity of medical institutions in Kyiv, Lviv and Dnipro"implemented in partnership with the organization Soleterre with the financial support of AICS Kyiv. Natalia Onipko, President of the Foundation, spoke about the results of an important project to support medical facilities that help patients with mine injuries.
The foundation's physical therapists, Tetyana Makovska and Volodymyr Syroyishko, who have been working in the field of children's rehabilitation since 2008, shared their practical experience. They told us more about the role of physical therapy in pediatric oncology and about specific techniques and exercises that allow children not only to restore mobility but also to adapt to active life faster after severe treatment
We continue our work in the field of patient rehabilitation and remain close to help even after years!
The event was organized by the CF "Patients of Ukraine" within the initiative "Rehabilitation of War Trauma" with the support of Soleterre and CF "Zaporuka", in cooperation with the National Specialized Hospital "Ohmatdyt", the project of Ukrainian-Norwegian cooperation (Sunnaas rehabilitation hospital), NGO "All-Ukrainian Association of Physical Therapists", with the assistance of the Office of the Presidential Advisor on Barrier-Free Access and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
