Bacteriological analyzer is already in Lviv hospital

Every year about 1000 children are being treated at the Oncohematology Department of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center.
For many of them control of microorganisms is vital, as infections can cause serious complications, especially after chemotherapy.

What is a bacteriological analyzer and why is it important?

Bacteriological analyzer:

• determines the presence of harmful microorganisms;

• determines their sensitivity to antibiotics;

• allows you to choose the most effective and safe antibacterial therapy.

Previously, the old machine had been in operation for 10 years and It remained faulty for 2 yearscomplicating the diagnosis. We had to wait up to 5 days for the results, which was precious time that was often not available.
