In 2023, 39 teenagers from all over Ukraine who had overcome cancer came to Kyiv to take part in the eighth Winners' Camp.
This is a special space where children learn to live in a world that has changed while they were fighting for their lives. Here they feel joy, support, inspiration, and most importantly, regain their faith in themselves.
The theme of this year's camp was "Startups". Participants:
We got acquainted with business cases;
created their own business ideas;
presented them to experts during pitching sessions.
The children visited innovative spaces such as UNIT.City, FabLab/Fabricator, ARTERIUM і 1991 Open Data Incubatorwhere they were inspired by real-life stories of entrepreneurs.
Every day, the children were able to choose activities of their own interest:
Dancing with world-class choreographers (flamenco and hip-hop);
Create your own animation with the studio Ridni animation;
Painting in the open air with Lesia Kondratiuk, the head of the camp.
The animation created at the end of the camp traditionally conveys the main idea of the rally - the value of life, friendship and self-realization.
Since 2015, there have been 8 thematic camps, which was attended by hundreds of children who have beaten cancer.
It's not just a vacation - it's a real step into a new life. Children come back stronger, more open to the world, and happier.
The "Camp of Victors" is not only for those who have already recovered. It also creates a positive example and inspiration for those who are still undergoing treatment.
Cancer is not a sentence. And our camp is the best proof of this.
We thank everyone who supports this life-affirming initiative!
