

In 2019, 24 children under the care of the Zaporuka Foundation underwent MIBG tests at the hospital Papa Giovanni XXIII in the city of Bergamo (Italy). The total cost of the survey was UAH 273,446.
MIBG diagnostics - is an examination using radioactive iodine, which allows to detect
the smallest remnants of the tumor;
metastases;
localization of neuroblastoma, which is difficult to detect by other methods.
This type of scan is included in the international treatment protocol of cancer and is extremely important for the timely continuation of therapy.
Ukraine does not have the isotopes necessary for this type of survey. That is why the 2016 The foundation organizes trips for children to Italy.
