Implementing changes here and now is our main incentive to move forward. To better understand the needs of families facing childhood cancer, we conducted a survey among 100 recipients of our assistance. We wanted to find out what our support looks like through the eyes of our beneficiaries, what should be improved or added to bring us even closer to the ideal, which has no limits.
No one can tell about the help as sincerely as those who have lived it. Parents who yesterday did not know where to run, and today are holding their child's hand after another successful procedure. Children who yesterday were learning to walk after surgery, and today are running down the corridors with a smile.
No one feels Dacha like those who have lived there. Those who have not yet opened their eyes and already smell the familiar delicious smells from the kitchen. Those who wake up not from pain, but from the sun's rays and the desire to live on.
Every day these families have to:
looking for housing in an unfamiliar city,
mastering a new reality with hundreds of drug names and terms,
Find resources for treatment and rehabilitation,
look for specialists who will bring the child back to life.
And we are there for you at every stage.
The results of the survey impressed us with their sincerity. We received hundreds of responses with the following words repeated: love, support, professionalism, kindness, understanding, care.
Here are a few of them:
"It feels like you're at home!"
"Love, kindness, support"
"Professionalism, speed, friendliness"
"You are just great. I am sincerely grateful for everything"
"Human attitude, understanding, support"
"Sincerity, dedication, compassion"
"Support. It is very hard when you are alone with a sick child in a foreign city"
"Comfortable accommodation, fun contests, gifts, sweets"
This list is not complete. It is complemented by hundreds of warm words that we cherish like treasures. Because that is what we are working for.
We are grateful to each family for their feedback and trust. It is thanks to you that Zaporuka is getting better every day
