Psychological support at the Dacha Center and medical facilities helps:
reduce anxiety level in a child;
overcome Fear of surgery or chemotherapy;
restore contact between the child, parents and medical staff;
find internal resource to fight the disease.
Healthcare workers face pain, anxiety, and loss every day, which leads to emotional burnout.
Psychologists help them:
Better communication with patients and families;
talk about difficult things with respect and care;
keep internal stability in severe cases.
In January-March 2020, they received psychological support:
children and parents at the National Cancer Institute, the Institute of Neurosurgery, and the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center;
medical personnel of these institutions;
